Celebrating the Year of the Dog at Universal Studios Hollywood

Did you know that you can celebrate the Year of the Dog during the Lunar New Year festivities at Universal Studions Hollywood until February 25th? 

The attractions have not changed, so Harry Potter fans can still enjoy the Harry Potter area, however there are add on things to the celebration. Universal Plaza located at the heart of the theme park is dressed with thecustomary red Chinese lanterns and stunning plum blossom Wishing Trees. 
Here are our favorites

1. Dragon Warriors Kung Fu training show

Dragon Warrior Training Show  is based on the beloved Kung Fu Panda franchise. The all-new Kung Fu Panda experience will engage guests of all ages in an interactive martial art demonstration performed by Master Po and friends.

2. Mr. Ping’s Noodle Shop

You can interact with Mr. Ping himself, and enjoy authentic Asian noodles and dim sum dishes such as Po's Pot Stickers, Oogway Egg Rolls, Dragon Warrior Bao and Secret Ingredient Stir Fry Noodles.

3. Mandarin-speaking Transformer's MEGATRON

Returning favorite among Universal Studios Hollywood's Lunar New Year traditions. 

4. Despicable Me Minions

The Minions are stepping out in style dressed in brightly colored traditional Lunar New Year attire. Visit with Illumination’s Minions dressed in traditional Chinese attire

​As a complement to this year's Lunar New Year celebration, Universal Studios Hollywood will welcome Hello Kitty, the beloved global pop icon created by the renowned Japanese company Sanrio to the entertainment destination. Hello Kitty and her signature red bow will make special appearances to meet guests at the Hello Kitty Shop located within the new Animation Studio Store opening Spring 2018.
