Captain Underpants in theaters today!
My son loves reading and part of his love for reading comes from finding books that kept him entertained as he was practicing his reading skills. Some of his favorite books were The Captain Underpants by Dav Pilkey
A couples of weeks ago we were invited to see the movie and meet not only the author but also the director and producers for the movie. My son was so happy. He even got an autograph on his favorite book.
About the movieBased on the worldwide sensation and bestselling book series, and boasting an A-list cast of comedy superstars headed by Kevin Hart and Ed Helms, DreamWorks Animation brings audiences the long-awaited global movie event, Captain Underpants: The First Epic Movie. This raucously subversive comedy for the entire family tells the story of two overly imaginative pranksters named George and Harold, who hypnotize their principal into thinking he’s a ridiculously enthusiastic, incredibly dimwitted superhero named Captain Underpants Watch a trailerDid we like it?
Just before the movie started I was really tired and I was joking with my son, that if I fell asleep during the movie to please do not wake me up. Once the movie started I was surprised of how fun it was and it kept me awake and interested on the movie. My son, a big fan of the books loved the movie. It is funny, in a good sarcastic way and full of jokes and creativity for the kids. (just like the books)
Meeting the writer
Just after the movie we got to meet the book author, Dav Pilkey and also the producer and director. What a great opportunity for the kids to actually be inspired to make their dreams come true and learn that everything they want to be in life is possible if they work hard.
Thank you to the The Moms for inviting us to their #CaptMOMS Mamarazzi event

What an awesome day for your son! My little guy is not 14 but used to love to read the Captain Underpants book series. The trailer for the new movie looks to be really good. We might sneak off to watch it together.

Too funny .. I remember when my son was a little guy and Captain Underpants was one of his favorites. He'd ask me to read him the books over and over (and over again). I'll have to continue the tradition and take my grandson to see the movie! x
