Did you know that one in five children in America live in a household without consistent access to adequate food? This means that in your child classroom there might be at least one child that might not be fortunate enough to have three meals and snacks available everyday.
So the question of the day is: Can you help to end childhood hunger? The answer is simple, yes you can. Sure there is plenty of ways to help, but I am going to tell about about a very simple and easy way.
You have to buy groceries, and when you do, if you shop at one of the Alberstons/Safeway stores you can donate to their amazing project and this way you can help end childhood hunger.
The “Hunger Is” campaign (www.hungeris.org) is taking place September 1st through September 30th, 2015 to help aid in the relief of childhood hunger in America. This program is designed to raise awareness, volunteer hours, and funds that will improve health outcomes for hungry children and their families.
So what stores are part of this project:
There are two easy ways to donate with the "Hunger Is" campaign
Every designated item/product purchased supports “Hunger Is”, helping connect hungry kids in our neighborhoods to healthy food. For more information visit AlberstonsHungerIsUS
It is simple to donate, so, now tell me if you think you can help to fight childhood hunger?
