We are a super busy family. I work outside the home, we go on the road a lot, we travel, we homeschool. Finding time for everything is hard. So when we find foods that allows us to have more free time we always keep them handy.
Abuelita told me that breakfast was the most important meal of the day. That has stick with me through the years. Now I pass that knowledge to my son. Although most days I do not have the pleasure to have breakfast with my son, during the weekends we try to make it a routine.
We have variety for breakfast, but there is no doubt that one of our favorites is cereal. Specially Cheerios. They are great not only for breakfast, but also great as snacks, and when we are having breakfast for dinner, well, we have them at night as well.
Great news for everyone is that they are gluten free, come in different flavors and combined with fruits make a great breakfast. My grandma is proud that I still try to eat meals with the family and that we off course make sure to have a nutritious breakfast every morning. It is important to keep meal times together as a family and enjoy conversations during those times.
