I was visiting my friend in Orange County and she suggested we went out for dinner. We both like good food and drinks. I am not a wine lover, but I enjoy sparkling wine with dinner. She suggested for us to try a place in Irvine called Bacchus Bar & Bistro.
The restaurant is located in the corner of a nice shopping area in Quail Hill. There is plenty of parking and has a very nice ambiance. It has a nice feeling of being on a wine cellar. When you come inside you feel immediately relaxed.
It is a wine bar, so off course you can find a great selection of wines. My friend really liked the Chardonnay they suggested for her and I enjoyed the sparkling rose.
The menu is simple but has variety. The selection of food available is prefect to match with the different wines they offer. We decided to start with the Charcuterie plate and the Pork Lollipops.
The Charcuterie plate was the Shady Canyon Board, which is a combination of three artisan cheeses & three gourmet Meats
The pork lollipops are made out of pork belly and they were delicious, probably one of my favorite things we had that night.
We ordered the Market Fish (that night was seabass), the Filet Mignon and the Cubano sandwich. All was delicious. My favorite was the Cubano sandwich and my friend really loved the fish. The filet mignon was cooded perfectly and the asparagus side were delicious too.
