I attended as media to facilitate this post. At the San Diego Zoo Safari Park, there’s a new celebration this year: Autumn Festival! Each weekend—Saturdays and Sundays, Oct. 16 through 31 you will be able to celebrate the fall season with wildlife encounters, entertainment and delicious food creations. Also, throughout the entire month of October, kids ages 11 and younger will receive free admission to the San Diego Zoo Safari Park, and can take part in special October weekend activities, such as unique entertainment, culinary delights and one-of-a-kind encounters with amazing wildlife—as they discover ways that everyone can work together to build a world where all life thrives. We had the opportunity to visit this past weekend and we had so much fun. It has been a while since we had visited and I have to say the park has improved a lot on the food choices and with the Autumn Festival they have some delicious food available. Each restaurant has items available, so plan carefully depending of what type of food you want. We wanted to have some Chili which we got at Thorntree and we got the Churro Bites and Rice Krispy treat at Mawazo Off course besides the treats you want to be able to enjoy all the animals and fun things Safari Park has to offer. Make sure to take the Africa Tram to learn and see some of the wild animals such as Giraffes, Zebras, Rhinos, and more Make sure to stop and see the Cheetah and her dog friend. Also make sure to walk all the trials so you can see the Lions, Tigers, Gorillas, Kangaroos and other animals available to enjoy. The San Diego Zoo Safari Park, an 1,800-acre zoological sanctuary, is home to more than 3,600 animals representing over 300 species. More than 1 million guests each year see animals in herds of mixed species, in expansive savanna habitats. The Safari Park is also an accredited botanical garden, caring for more than 1.3 million individual plants and maintaining a vast curated collection of over 6,500 specimens, representing 3,700 species. Each ticket purchase, souvenir, or food purchase is helping the Safari Park continue their mission. You can even get a membership if you are in the area and plan to visit often. Autumn Festival dates: October 16-17, 23-24, and 30-31 Get your tickets at https://sdzsafaripark.org/tickets
