Agosto es el Mes Nacional de la concientización sobre la Vacunación. Vaccines (shots) help prevent dangerous and sometimes deadly diseases. August is the month to create awareness and remind everyone that they need to check if they are on schedule with their vaccines.
Of course most parents already know what shots their kids need (because when they go to the yearly check ups or more often if you have an infant or toddler the Dr will remind you that they kids are due for their vaccines). It is not the same for adults, that sometimes forget that they need to have a booster to continue with the prevention given by the initial shot they had when they were kids. And although the topic of vaccines do not come without controversy, most studies show that the benefits are bigger than any of the risks. So the advice for parents is to follow the vaccination schedule and have their kids immunized to avoid disease epidemics. Vaccines are safe, effective, and critically important for young children, who are especially vulnerable to vaccine-preventable diseases, according to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). There is definitely a lot more controversy today than when parents. My parents did and I did because it is our kids first and we do what we can to keep them healthy and safe.

We vaccinate but we also do it on our own schedule not based on the schedule they recommend we also don't vaccinate group shots and we only use mercury free and we don't do all of them. With all the different things going on and with the health issues my kids have it works for is

I have to admit, this is one area I do not know a lot about... but it's very scary to me.

I don't let them vaccinate in huge groups and I get the absolutely necessary ones and there are some we don't do...
