Asian Street Eats a new place to eat at Downtown Disney

Disclosure: Asian Street Eats invited me to try some items from their menu. All opinions are my own

​A new counter service dining location opened in Downtown Disney District. It is an Asian “food truck” by Chef Huynh, the winner of Top Chef Season 3

​It is located in front of the former Rainforest Cafe location and has a limited menu, but sometimes a small menu makes ordering so much easy. The menu includes: 

• Mixed Bowls of Grilled Chicken, Braised Beef Short Rib, and Sauteed Tofu
  
• Scallion Pancake Wraps of Grilled Chicken, Braised Beef Short Rib, and Sauteed Tofu
  
• Chicken or Vegetable Pot Stickers

When you are ready to order, head to the booth and place your order, they will give you a pager and ask you to go to the pick up station. You pay at the pick up station and then go take a sit at the numerous tables near by to wait for your food to be ready. 

We went for lunch and decided to try the following:

• Chicken Pot Stickers (served with Ginger Soy Sauce). They were delicious, and these were my son's favorite
• Vegetable Pot Stickers (served with Ginger Soy Sauce). I really liked the vegetable ones, and I am glad they have vegetarian options available
• Braised Beef Short Rib Mixed Bowl (Royal Purple Rice or Mixed Greens topped with Fire-roasted Corn, Cabbage, Cucumbers, Pickled Carrots, Caramelized Onions and your choice of Sauce). My son actually asked for white rice and they were able to make the substitution for him. It was really delicious and a big portion.
• Grilled Chicken Scallion Pancake Wrap​ (stuffed with Cabbage, Caramelized Onions, Pickled Carrots, Cucumbers, Cilantro, Hoisin Sauce and Sriracha Aïoli). It was very good, great combination of flavors and the sauces are so good.

Talking about the sauces, they are so good and they are  made in-house, there were six types to choose from. They have Sriracha Aioli, Spicy Avocado, Teriyaki, Spicy Teriyaki, Miso Honey, and Sesame Citrus Soy. They were so good, that I actually got some to take home to add to our tacos and other recipes at home.

They have water and sodas available, but I would recommend to get some of their sparkling flavored drinks, it was so delicious and something you do not get to enjoy in a lot of places.

Overall is thing Asian Street Eats s a great addition to Downtown Disney. You do not need reservations and if you are trying to get back to the parks for more rides it is an easy, fast, and delicious option. The prices are average too, so do not hesitate to give them a try next time you are in the area.
