It was my husband birthday and we wanted to celebrate in style. We were going to be taking a staycation in Buena Park and I got some complementary passes to attend Medieval Times. It was not going to be our first time at the show, but I wanted it to be special so I started looking for the upgrades available to make the celebration special. If you had never been at Medieval Times, you are missing out. The show is very entertaining, the food is delicious and the service is great. When you arrive to the ticket counter (reservations are recommended, they are really popular) they will check you in. You have the option to choose upgrades to have VIP seats or add pictures too. I visited their Website to learn more about the upgrade packages, and we chosee the Celebration Package The celebration package includes
After you get into the castle they give you a crown with the color of the Knight that you will be cheering. We got the yellow Knight this time. You can learn all about the Knights while you wait, and you can also buy some souvenirs and drinks. Once it is time for the show you get in your seats and you can enjoy the Bill of Fare. It is a very tasty dinner. They have a vegetarian option in case you do not eat meat. The feast starts with the soup and bread, followed by the chicken, ribs and potato. There is even dessert. You eat with your hand. During the show you get to cheer your Knight as the battle like they did on the Middle Ages. The fights are so real that you can see sparkles coming from the spades. The horses are beautiful and put on such a special show. There is even a falcon. If you visit them online you can find out deals, discounts and even contest to win tickets. You can also like their Facebook page to stay connected You can celebrate like a King and have a wonderful time with family and friends!
Sea World is turning 50! What a big celebration. One of my son's favorite places not only because of the shows but because he loves animals and he learns a lot when he is there. We have been pass holders for 10 years and we were really happy when we were invited to see the new Explorers Reef located at the entrance plaza. Once you buy your tickets at the new concierge are, you will entrance the park by the gates covered in a beautiful blue wave that makes sounds and has lights. A few steps after the entrance, there is a few interactive pools where kids of all ages will be able to touch some sea animals. The pools designed on the shape of coral sculptures, have different types of fish that you can touch and interact with them. The pool animals include: cleaner fish, sharks, rays and horseshoe crabs. SeaWorld has really put a lot of attention to details to make the place look so beautiful and create a great experience from the first minute you enter the park. They even have hand-washing stations and stores decorated with the coral theme Explorers Reef is a great addition to the park. It is for sure going to be a hit with little ones that want to learn and touch some of the animals. My son was having a blast with all the cleaner fish around his hand. It is a great way to relax while waiting for the park to open or in between shows. You can visit SeaWorl 50th Celebration to learn more about "Sea of Surprises" celebrations happening. My son loves science and animals. He is also an avid reader and is looking to get more information and data on his brain everyday. He enjoys books with facts that he can memorize and then "impress" other people with all his knowledge. When we got a copy of the book Curious Critters Volume 2 to review he was very happy. With a fun description of the animal and great pictures that allow you to see the details that you might never seen otherwise the book has animal facts and will keep little ones learning. The book has large and bright photos that makes it also ideal for little ones even if they do not know how to read. For older kids like mine, the book is educational and a great resource for research projects about animals. The books are priced at $19.99 and there are also audio-books available. To learn more visit their website for sample pages and other fun things such as coloring pages, activity sheets print outs and audiobooks. The opinions in this article are my own. I do not work for, or with, any brand mentioned in this article, nor do I have any official relationship with them. I have a relationship with GigaSavvy, for whom I create original editorial content. Last year I attended a very well organized event at Knott's Berry Farms for their Knott's Berry Bloom celebration. It was a great way to welcome Spring and we really enjoyed the food and wine tasting, but in general all the activities were perfect for a good family day at the park. Starting April 12, 2014 Knott’s Berry Farm will have for the first time a Ghost Town Boysenberry Festival: wine, dine and boysenberry inspired products. I cannot wait to try all they yummy products, because at our house we love boysenberries. But all the fun does not stop with food and wine (yes, they also have beer), off course there is a lot of activities for kids to have fun like:
Remember that you can enjoy this and other events at Knott's with your season passes Giveaway I know you do not want to miss all the fun and want to visit the park for Easter, so enter below for your chance to win 2 tickets. Good luck!
