Angry Birds Movie Red Carpet Event

The Angry Birds Movie opens in theaters May 20th, 2016.

Last Saturday I had a very fun day. I attended the ed carpet premiere of “Angry Birds Movie” at the historic Regency Village Theater in WestWood Village located in Los Angeles, California. Besides watching a screening of the movie, I also enjoyed company of awesome blogger friends and an afternoon full of great food and fun activities.

About the movie

In the 3D animated comedy, The Angry Birds Movie, we’ll finally find out why the birds are so angry. The movie takes us to an island populated entirely by happy, flightless birds – or almost entirely. In this paradise, Red (Jason Sudeikis, We’re the Millers, Horrible Bosses), a bird with a temper problem, speedy Chuck (Josh Gad in his first animated role since Frozen), and the volatile Bomb (Danny McBride, This is the End, Eastbound and Down) have always been outsiders.

But when the island is visited by mysterious green piggies, it’s up to these unlikely outcasts to figure out what the pigs are up to. Featuring a hilarious, all-star voice cast that includes Bill Hader (Trainwreck, Inside Out), Maya Rudolph (Bridesmaids, Sisters), and Peter Dinklage (Game of Thrones), as well as Kate McKinnon (Saturday Night Live, Ghostbusters), Keegan-Michael Key (Key & Peele), Tony Hale (Veep, Arrested Development), Tituss Burgess (Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt), Ike Barinholtz (Neighbors, Sisters), Hannibal Buress (Daddy’s Home, Broad City), Jillian Bell (22 Jump Street), Danielle Brooks (Orange is the New Black), Latin music sensation Romeo Santos, YouTube stars Smosh (Ian Hecox and Anthony Padilla), and country music superstar Blake Shelton, who writes and preforms the original song “Friends.”

Red Carpet Event

It is not every day that you see a red carpet embellished with a set of angry eye brows and decorated with colorful feathers. There were birds and pigs and even a 20 foot high sling shot to play real life Angry Birds.

Off course as on any other red carpet there were also movie stars. The cast of The Angry Birds Movie was there (Jason Sudeikis, Bill Hader, Maya Rudolph, Josh Gad, and even Blake Shelton (who sings a song in the movie). The events at the World Premier of Rovio Entertainment first movie also included games, food trucks and even a petting zoo.

I was always really good at playing Angry Birds on my phone. I am proud to say that I was also great with the sling shot and I cannot wait for the movie to be out on theaters so I can see it again
