All-new Dark Arts at Hogwarts™ Castle

We visit Universal Studios Hollywood at least twice a year, sometimes we are lucky to get invited to events and that allow us to visit even more often. We love the rides and the shows and off course we enjoy the theme park food a lot as well.

Come to Universal Studios Hollywood for the rides and shows during the day but make sure to stay until closing time so you can enjoy the powerful light projection experience, Illuminating a darker side of the Wizarding World.

Dark Arts at Hogwarts Castle will cast a mesmerizing display of light, music and special effects, unleashing the darkest creatures and villains, including the powerful Dark wizard Lord Voldemort. The “Dark Arts at Hogwarts Castle” opens to the public April 13 – 28 at Universal Studios Hollywood then returns from May 25 – 27

How to get the most of your day at The Wizarding World of Harry Potter?

When you arrive to the Harry Potter area in the park there is so much to do, that we recommend having a list, so you don't forget to take visit any of the places

You need to do the following rides

• Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey: tip, they have single rider line, so if you don't mind being separated from your party, so you can use that option.
• Flight of the Hippogriff

You have to eat in the following places

• Three Broomsticks: it is a quick service restaurant in Hogsmeade, their food is delicious
• Get Butterbeer at the outside cars (it is also available at the restaurant, but lines are shorter in the cars outside). Butterbeer is available cold, frozen and hot
• Try butterbeer ice-cream

​You have to see the following shows

• Olivanders: at the end of the show you can get your wand
• Frog Choir
• ​Dark Arts at Hogwarts Castle show (April 13-28, and again May 25-27th at night time)
