The afternoon tea at Steakhouse 55 at the Disneyland Hotel is an amazing experience. It is a bit pricey but you feel like a princess surrounded by very nice china and silverware; teas, sandwiches and sweets.
The Afternoon Tea is served from 12:00-3:00 on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays and it sells out quickly for special occasion such Valentine’s Day, Halloween and Christmas time.
The afternoon tea party has different options. They have a classic option and a premium option. With the premium option you get the same things that on the classic option plus a salad, sparkling wine and a box of chocolate truffles to take home. I totally recommend getting the premium packages to make your experience a total dream come true.
Classic Tea Party
Tea is brewed and served and you get your own pot of tea after you choose from a great selection. You can also choose cold tea and have different ones for each person on your party to share and try a bigger variety. We decided to try the Redbush Caramel Velvet (caffeine-Free, Herbal tea with an elegant Dulce de Leche refreshing aftertaste.) and the Eros (Black Sweet Orange and creamy Vanilla Bean and blended with Medium Bodied Ceylon). The teas come with honey, lemon, cream and your choice of sugar or calorie free sweeteners.
The firs tray includes scones. For Valentine’s Day they had chocolate chip and raspberry ones. They come with Devonshire cream, lemon curd, and strawberry jam.
You second tray includes a great selection of sandwiches that go perfectly with your tea. Cucumber sandwiches, seafood sandwich and devil eggs among others.
While sipping on our sparkling wine, we enjoyed the plate of desserts. Macaroons, cupcakes and chocolate covered strawberries.
To finish your amazing experience you get a super cute box with some delicious Farewell Chocolate Truffles.
This was an amazing experience. If fell like out of a fairy tale story book, and I cannot wait to go back to enjoy the treats either on Halloween or Christmas when they offer holiday decorated treats for those occasions. Also if you are a Disneyland Pass Holder, you get a discount on the price. Next time if it is not rainy and cold I might even ask for the cold brewed tea!
