Thanksgiving weekend is the start of the holidays at our home, we put the Christmas tree up and start playing Christmas music all around the house. We enjoy some hot cocoa and watch movies. Sometimes we are brave and go to the theaters, but we certainly try to stay home. This year we will be watching a super cute movie on HBO Max: 8-Christmas.
About the movie
Based on a novel of the same name penned by Kevin Jakubowski, "8-Bit Christmas" tells a story that will feel relatable for both kids and adults. The Warner Bros. film centers its story on Jake Doyle (Neil Patrick Harris) as he recounts a Christmas story of his childhood to his young daughter. The story? Young Jake's (Winslow Fegley) quest to get his hands on the now legendary Nintendo Entertainment System — the must-have toy of the late 1980s holiday season. As teased in the movie's trailer, "8-Bit Christmas" depicts not only the mad dash of the town's kids to get an NES but also the ever-increasing fervor from the parents who want to blame societal ills on video games.

Los Angeles movie premiere
We attened a very fun event for Los Angeles premiere. The event was held at the Heritage Square Museum and there were food trucks, music, photo opportunities, tours of the Heritage homes, and even a few movie stars here and there.
