5 Ways to Stop Bad Breath. TUNG brushes
Valentine's Day is just around the corner and you for sure want some kisses from your significant other, however you do not want to kiss someone that has stinky breath, do you? Did you know that more than 90 million people has bad breath? It is medically called chronic halitosis and it usually caused by bacteria in the gums and tongue.
The great news are that there are easy ways to prevent bad breath. Here is is what is recommended by the American Dental Association
5 Ways to Stop Bad Breath. TUNG brushes

1. Brush and Floss

Brush twice a day and clean between your teeth daily with floss to get rid of all that bacteria that’s causing your bad breath. Get a toothbrush with a cover so you can keep it on your purse and you can brush your teeth when away from home. I always keep one at work as well.

2. Mouthwash

Mouthwashes can help kill bacteria or neutralize and temporarily mask bad breath. It’s only a temporary solution, so do not rely on this method to avoid that stinky breath. I also use sugar free gum to help "mask" the bad breath, but it is also just a temporary solution. You need to take good care of your gums and tongue to keep away the bacteria and prevent the bad odors.

3. Visit your dentist regularly

Regular dental visits allow your dentist to detect any problems such as gum disease or dry mouth and stop them before they become more serious. There is also that amazing feeling after leaving the office with your teeth polished. My insurance covers visits twice a year. Check your dental coverage and take advantage of the preventive services they offer.

4. Quit smoking and avoid tobacco products.

Smoking contributes to bad breath. Tobacco tends to dry out your mouth and can leave an unpleasant smell that lingers even after brushing your teeth.

5. Take care of your tongue

The American Dental Association recommends to take care of your tongue by removing any residue that may be building up between the taste buds and folds in the tongue . They do not recommend using your regular toothbrush and toothpaste to do this. They actually recommend a tongue scraper or you can also use TUNG brushes.
It is important to take care of your tongue because around 90% of bad breath is caused by bacteria on the back of your tongue. TUNG brushes are designed to help you reach this area without making you gag. It is also recommened to use TUNG Gel, which is specifically formulated to clean your tongue by neutralizing the bad breath-causing gases bacteria create.

All so important! I'm ashamed to say I only recently got into the swing on flossing everyday recently, and it has made such a difference to my gum health and breathe! Tongue's make a big difference too, especially if you're dehydarated, which when you live in the hottest city on the US happens a lot!

How adorable are these Tung toothbrushes? Just the kind of thing I need to make teeth-brushing time with my grandson a little less painful. Heck, I'm thinking about getting a couple for my husband and I too! Kids of all ages can also use a bit of color and fun in their morning routines. x

One of my 12 year old twins is obsessed with brushing his teeth and will NOT skip mouthwash either. We recently traveled and had to stop halfway and buy mouthwash because he had to be sure he did not leave home without it.

These tongue brushes look awesome. I would love to try them out and I am sure he would too.

I need to get those tongue brushes for my girls. So hard to take care of their teeth honestly. We have a sweet tooth in our household. My daughter's gums were slightly bleeding last night. I forgot that it's not enough that you brush their teeth, gotta take off the junk from the tongue too. Will look for this brand later. Thanks for sharing.

That's a really cute photo (last one)! And it is always a good thing to be reminded to keep our mouth clean - I always remember the quote by Gurgle from Finding Nemo: "ugghh...the human mouth is a disgusting place". :D

Proper diet and oral hygiene practices are important not only for your teeth but for your overall health. If you care for your teeth and gums properly, they will stay healthy throughout your life and you will have less chance of developing gum disease and tooth decay.

Well Whatever the reason, problems with bad breath can be embarrassing and annoying. Here are five ways to stop it: 1. Run out of breath. While it is not a sign of poor health, it does mean your mouth is dry. Drink more water than normal to restore your moisture levels. 2. Being involved in physical activities on daily basis does something great to our body and mind. It makes us feel good, helps us to complete tough tasks, makes us pleasant all around and keeps us happy all time because our body releases a chemical called endorphins while we involved in the physical activities.
