A Wondegbag is a non-electric, portable slow cooker. It works very simple: Boil it, bag it, stand it and share it. If you want to slow cook, simply bring food to the boil on a stove, let simmer, and then put the pot with its lid into your Wonderbag, close it with the drawstring, and slow cook to perfection for up to 12 hours.
The Wonderbag design allows food to be slow cooked or kept warm off of a heat source. I was so happy when the nice people at Wonderbag told me they were going to send me one to review and share with my all of you why you need a Wonderbag in your house.
1. Use less energy to cook (It saves money on electricity)
The Wonderbag is strategically designed to retain heat (or cold) for up to eight hours. With an insulated core that keeps heat from escaping, all you need to do is bring your food to a boil using conventional methods and then put it in the bag. Always make sure to brow your meat and bringing the entire meal to a boil for 5-20 minutes. The Wonderbag will not “cook” things that are raw. The Wonderbag slow cooks and keeps food hot for up to 12 hours.
2. You can use it anywhere
With a Wonderbag there is no battery, plug or fuel required. You can use it on a boat, RV, when camping or at home.
It is light and easily portable and compact 3. It is safe
The Wonderbag conveniently operates without supervision. It is fail-safe and will never overcook or burn your dishes and you can cook without the worry of fire. I love that the Wonderbag will not burn my food.
4.For every Wonderbag purchased in the U.S. a bag is donated to a family in need in Africa
For every Wonderbag that is sold a portion of these proceeds goes towards donating a Wonderbag, via the Wonderbag Foundation, to a family in need within a designated community in a developing country.
5. Easy to clean and storage
The Wonderbag can be spot washed and hung to dry. Newer washing machines with a gentle wash cycle can also be used with cold water and minimal detergent. Hang dry or in a tumble dryer on a low temperature setting. It’s machine washable on the gentle cycle
