This past weekend my geeky son and I visited the AT&T Shape event. If you have never been, I totally recommend that you check the website for updates on next year's event, because if you love technology and video games, you have to attend the next one.
Here are 5 reasons why you should attend next year 1. Learn about new technology
Imagine being able to learn about new technological ideas coming soon in just one space. With so many brands attending the expo, it is pretty easy to learn about all the new things happening. We were very impressed with the GLHF & Win and the Power Jab. They are both very creative and I hope we can see more about this two new companies soon.
GLHF & Win: an entertainment platform taking your streaming experience to the next level. Watch streamers in your favorite games and the biggest events, predict matches, excel in esports trivia, and level-up to be rewarded with both actual gaming products, in-game cosmetics and much more. Power Jab: The First and Only Spatial Computing Boxing Experience 2. Networking
Meet other geeks, network, share coding secrets, learn from the nerds. You will find friendly people to talk technology and video games with.
3. Exhibits and interactive demos
So many cool things happening. This year was all about 5G. Faster internet coming to most markets. Samsung was there with their phones to make me think about an upgrade, LOL
My son really loved playing with Vive, virtual reality. He was playing baseball, and he was actually really good. One of my favorites was Failure Fest. A celebration of failure, because we all know failure only means we need to keep trying. 4. The Speakers
So many cool speakers this year. I cannot wait to see what they will have next year. The best part is that you can listen to some of the talks here: https://shape.att.com/event/
5. The location: You get to take the Warner Bros. Studio Tour
You get a small version of the WB studio tours, but you still get to explore outdoor sets and soundstages. You also get to see original props, costumes, picture cars, and sets used from Batman to Friends. You get to experience the Central Perk Friends set, original Batman Museum—Batmobile Collection, and so much more.
