Disneyland is a fun place for kids of all ages. As an adult, I enjoy going to Disneyland not only for the rides, shows and characters but for another really important reason: The Food.
Here are our recommendations to eat at the California parks for summer 2017. We have a variety of items from sweets, to salty to refreshing. They are also Instagram worth it. If you end up going and getting anything on this list, do not forget to tag us, so we can like your picture on Instagram. @monicazyoung
1. Enchanted Rose Cake Pop at Disneyland’s Pooh's Corner
This one is for the Beauty and The Beast fans. Sweet treat, the red and green part are colored chocolate, think candy melts. The inside is chocolate cake. My recommendation? Have water or milk to go with it. Because, yes, it is too sweet.
2. Dole Whip Cotton Candy at different car locations in DCA
I usually do not eat cotton candy, but this one is actually really good. You can taste the pineapple flavor. My advice share with a friend and have wipes available because everything will be sticky.
3. Strawberry Sundae in a Souvenir "Kitchen Sink" Clarabelle's Hand-Scooped Ice Cream at DCA
I bought it because I wanted the Kitchen Sink. But I have to admit the ice cream was good. It is big enough to share with a friend. They do have other flavors available for the sundaes.
4. Grey Stuff at the Red Rose Taverne at Disneyland
Just like the movie says, it is delicious, probably one of the best things I have ever had a Disneyland. Cookie topped with the "grey stuff" that is pretty much cookies and cream frosting and a center of raspberry. Really, really good.
5. The Most Dangerous Tacos in the Galaxy at Knowhere Eats, DCA
Barbacoa beef tacos with green onion slaw, purple cabbage, pickled onions, habanero salsa and green tortillas. They are small so you probably do not want to share with anyone. Good flavor. They do offer a vegetarian option
6. The Milano – Fanta® orange freeze with blue cream at Studio Catering Co, DCA
It was very refreshing. I really liked the blue cream. The Fanta part was ok, but the combination made it something very refreshing. You could share this one, it is big enough.
7. Super Hero Doughnuts at Schmoozies, DCA
We got to try the Spider Bite (A cinnamon-spiced doughnut) but they also have the Gamma-Sized Doughnut (Filled with blackberry and black currant), The All-American Doughnut (Filled with apple and streusel topping) and the local Favorite , a maple-bacon filled doughnut with maple cream
8. Jalapeño-Cheese Groot-Shaped Bread at Cosmic Canteen, DCA
The bread is actually really tasty. It is so sad to eat this cutie. Big enough to share.
They also have a plain version at the FairFax market 9. Obviously Nachos at at Knowhere Eats, DCA
Fried blue corn tortillas with red pepper cheese sauce, mojo-marinated chicken, chipotle crèma and green onions (vegetarian version also available). They are small but fulfilling.
10. Lobster roll at Harbour Galley in Critter County, Disneyland
Seafood lovers rejoice. This is a small roll but really tasty. It comes with potato chips. Make sure to have napkins available. Small for the price but worth it.
Novelty Item!
Make sure you get the Groot Sipper, it is super cute!

When we went to Disneyland last year we did not spend much time in California Adventure just becuse of the timing. I cannot wait to go back and explore more and enjoy some of these foods.

I haven't been to Disneyland since I was a kid. The strawberry sundae looks really good to me and I heard the dole whips are good. Other than that I don't think I would like some of those food ideas.
