The wild adventure swings into theaters in 3D today!
I watched this movie as a kid and I loved it. I had high expectations for it. I am so glad it is not a remake but with CGI and actors. It is a actually kind of a new version that follows more the story in the book. I am so glad there is singing in the movie because that gave it a great memorable touch. I would say to keep little ones (less than 5) at home, because they might get scared but other than that this is a must see movie.
About the movie
“The Jungle Book” is an all-new live-action epic adventure about Mowgli (newcomer Neel Sethi), a man-cub raised in the jungle by a family of wolves, who embarks on a captivating journey of self-discovery when he’s forced to abandon the only home he’s ever known"
Did we like it?
We loved it. The story, the music, the voices, the animals. Everything was great. I laughed, I cried and I even got a little scared with some scenes. The technology used in the movie was just amazing. You actually feel like you are in the jungle. The movie is darker that the cute cartoon I remember long time ago. It it is like watching a whole new movie instead of a remake. The CGI-crafted talking animals are really believable. The message is hidden as in all Disney movies but it is there. My son was very moved by the family and friendship appreciation message. I am so glad they have the songs Bare Necessities, and I Want To Be Just Like You because that actually was needed even though the story is different from the original movie.
The movie cinematography is impressive. The attention to details is amazing. The humor is managed in a very clever way, something that Disney has seemed to master. This movie is flawless. All I can say is well done Disney, well done.
