New Year, new resoltutions, well maybe the same resolutions, but this time we mean it. It is time to be healthy on 2017. This time for real. Easy lifestyle changes that will help you achieve your goals and start 2017 with the right foot (even if you are a lefty).
For us, summer breaks means traveling and visiting new places. This also means eating on the road and trying out need foods and snacking on yummy treats. Although we do walk a lot and stay active it is easy to gain some weight from all the unhealthy eating.

It is hard to believe that we are almost done with the first quarter of this year. The good news for me is that I have been able to stick with my New Year’s resolution (goal) of staying healthy and losing some weight. It has not been easy. I cannot believe how many parties and celebrations we are invited to every single week, with so many food temptations. My goal this year has been not to deprive myself of food but to eat a little bit of everything but in moderation.

We all know being on a diet is not easy. As a matter of fact, I have always preferred the term lifestyle change, because if we diet we tend to stop the diet one day and go back to unhealthy eating habits. In general, eating healthy and keeping the weight down is very difficult, mainly because we all crave carbs and sugars, and we calm those craving with cakes, cookies and other treats that have an incredible amount of calories.
