Last week was crazy, but the good news is that I was able to walk every day my 5 miles.
I have yet to see the weight lost, however my clothes are loose, so I guess that is important as well. I keep telling myself I am gaining muscle and that is why the scale is not showing the numbers. I have been eating small portions so my hope is the pounds will start dropping soon. I am going to start jogging for a minute during my walk. I really want to do my first officially 5k soon. I see all the sistas post on facebook and twitter and I feel motivated to do it too. Now, I still drink some diet soda once in a while. I have tried bad to quit, but you know what, instead of having a bag full of chips, I have some sips of the soda. Not perfect but a progress. I have one holiday party coming up. That is going to be challenging, but I will stay strong. How do you stay away from that cheese and cracker platter? I am afraid to eat before and still eat at the party. I am afraid of not eating and then overeating. I had made those mistakes on the past, so any advice will help. I cannot wait for another 2weekchallenge to push myself more... Thanks

Well happy thanksgiving to everyone
We had a good holiday. We do not have family around and our friends usually spend the time with their families, so we never do anything for thanksgiving. We stayed home, cleaned, watched movies and relaxed. I had a very bad neck muscle spasm, but I went on my walks anyways. I am walking 5 miles each day. It is relaxing and I am sleeping better now, I guess because I am tired. For this week my goal is continue walking at least 5 miles a day and drinking lots of water. I think that the cold weather makes me drink less water, but I have to force myself to drink more. I am already on the Christmas spirit and I have decorated the house. Christmas is very important for me and I have great memories form my time back in Colombia. I want to make the same and even better memories for my son. So Christmas tree and also the nativity are up and we will have our Advent calendar and stories to make this time magic I am very optimistic for the changes happening. I am not weighing myself but I can see the clothes lose on me. That is very important. Have a great week everyone. Happy Veteran's Day everyone.
I was not as lucky as others and have the day off, so I am working, as a matter of fact I have been working weekends now, and it can kind of messes up with the plans with my son, but well, I guess that we have to adapt to do other things. I have been walking everyday and I finished the 2weekchallenge, so I feel I am doing well in that aspect. Eating wise, I think I am doing better, but I still can improve. It is just hard not to eat after the stressful day, but I am really trying. It is getting cold out. Well, at least for me. I think I look like if I live on the North Pole when I go out for my walk with the dog, and I have to admit that makes it so hard on me. My lips get really dry and hurt, so if you know what I can do to avoid this please let me know. (I do use lip balm but they still get like that) Counting the days until Thanksgiving. We do not do anything special, but at least I get to be home with my son and start decorating for Christmas. I love December. I grew up with great celebrations in Colombia and I love passing this along my boy. Thanks for stopping by and reading. “This post is sponsored by Hoopnotica and hosted by Mamavation – a community dedicated to obesity prevention & weight loss for women and I’m writing this to be entered into a giveaway Last week was exciting for my son and I. I have been spending a lot of time with him and doing really cool staff now that my blog is growing.
I have to say thank you to Leah and the Mamavation community I had decided to start to blog initially. I had to update all of you with my weight staff, so I created a blog. I would had never imagine that I was going to have a bunch of twitter followers, a facebook fan page and thousands of visits to my blog. Just one of the other advantages of belonging to a great community. Besides the motivation and encouragement to live a healthy life, we also support each other not only on the virtual world of blogging, but even with advice on our lives. This week I feel refreshed. I had been down and not very happy for a while, but I have decided that this week post is more about being happy for having the Mamavation sistas in my life and being able to have a group that supports me. With Thanksgiving coming up, I have one more reason to be grateful is to be part of a great group and to know that you girls will support me and have my back. As for my goals, I have been doing the 2weekchallenge and walking everyday. I have been drinking water and trying to eat healthier. So I think I am going on the right track. Thanks Sistas for all you do. And if you are reading this and do not know about Mamavation, come and learn here, I promise you will love what you see. |
