Back to Hogwarts at Universal Studios Hollywood

Did you know that "Back to Hogwarts" is celebrated by Harry Potter fans on September 1st, marking the day when students return to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry? Well now you can celebrate Back to Hogwarts at Universal Studio Hollywood.

Although the celebration at Universal Studios dates have been modified to adjust to the Back to School calendar dates for Southern California, the celebrations consist of all things Harry Potter. 

At Universal Studios Hollywood you are going to be able to finish the summer vacation with a bang and celebrate the back to school season from August 1 through September 1, 2025.

What does the celebration entitles?

• You can experience “Back to Hogwarts” seasonal celebration to kick off the new academic year at The Wizarding World of Harry Potter by flaunting your house pride: Gryffindor, Slytherin, Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw.
• Meet the conductor at  Hogwarts Express 

• Practice your magical skills by casting spells throughout Hogsmeade village.
• Treat yourself to back-to-school shopping by visiting the local shops at Hogsmeade featuring a refreshed Hogwarts Crest collection, including new apparel and accessories. Great new outfits for the new school year, even some backpacks and notebooks!

• Indulge in a delicious Butterbeer (and if you feel like taking a souvenit home, get the Butterbeer Metal Stein cup)
  

• Enjoy some delicious food at the Three Broomsticks restaurant. They are open for breakast, lunch, and dinner. We decided to get the pancake breafast plate with some pumpkin juice. For dinner we got The Great Feast, which was the best value for our money (lots of food enought for 4 people)
