It has been six years since I have seen my grandma. I always remember going to her house in the afternoon and having a cup of coffee with some homemade pastries. It was something the whole family used to look forward to, and going back to visit her in Colombia brings those memories back.
The main reason is that for us, the coffee meant more than just a drink, the coffee meant that it was time to listen to grandma share stories and tell us about when our parents were little and how she grew up without all the resources we have now and still had fun.
It was very interesting listening to her and knowing that during that coffee time, we were able to travel in time and feel like it we were there. She is a great storyteller.
And my grandma would be happy that I got her some NESCAFÉ® Clásico ™ because now she is a little old to be grinding coffee and she will be able to continue the tradition while we enjoy good coffee and with the convenience of a coffee that is ready to use.
It was really nice to find out that NESCAFÉ® Clásico ™ formed a partnership with Ricky Martin because he is a celebrity that shares his values of passion in life and family togetherness and off course he is a proud latino. As you can see he surprised some folks that accepted the challenge of having a coffee with a stranger. What a cool surprise they got.
So you might be wondering how my encounter with my grandma was? It was awesome. I got to see some other family members as well and we sat in a circle around my grandma so she would start telling stories as we enjoyed some coffee and some colombian arepas. What else could I had ask for?
Coffee is more than a drink, coffee brings people together on conversations and coffee provides a friendly environment to share.
Now tell me what do you share when you drink your coffee?
