My son turned seven and he loves Legos. Well every boy loves Legos, but in my son case it is an addiction. I have Legos all over the house. I have so many storage containers and somehow I still step on them of find them under the blankets. *sigh*
He wanted a Hero Factory theme, but it was hard to find supplies so I convinced him to have the mean theme Legos and just the cake of Hero Factory. I researched a lot and found really cool ideas that I kind of incorporated into our own needs and I will be doing a series or post on how we planned for our party.
The first thing I did was research for ideas for a Lego party. I found a great website with ideas that you can incorporate in different parties depending of the age of the kids. Birthday party ideas have resources on invitations, decorations, games and food for a lot of themes.
For our Lego party I chose a classic, primary color Lego RED. Since my son birthday is in February (yes I know I am a little late on posting), it was easy to find red supplies that were available for Valentine’s.
The first step was creating the invitation. I do not like to use plain invitations or those that you find at the store. I used the ideas from other moms and the final product was “Mystery” invitation. I used little plastic containers that I found at Oriental Trading. Inside the containers we included some Lego blocks with the party information on them and the invitation had the clue on how to put together the invitation to find out the place and details for the party.
